Mothers are the Source of all human life.
Our Mothers are our first Earth and our first teachers. Their wellbeing is intrinsic to our health.
My work as a birth and postnatal doula is to listen, support, inform, care for and nurture all the mothers and families who approach me, with the awareness that when a mother thrives, we all thrive.
I Love seeing women thrive and embrace motherhood when they feel held, empowered, well-informed and confident.
My approach is very gentle. Using movement to soothe and support your birth experience comes from my background as a trained dancer and somatic movement practitioner. For ease and vitality, I give particular attention to the pelvis. I make sure that the mother-to-be is aware and confident about her body’s potential and how she can best prepare for the birth she most desires.
While respecting the mother’s individual needs and decisions, my presence in the birthing space is my commitment to helping her give birth to her baby in her own way, without inhibitions, and with the appropriate support. My work is to ensure that she has the most positive birth experience possible.
I have found that birth reflects a woman’s relationship to life, herself and her body. This is why my practice deeply values introspection, embodiment and self-care. My work as a somatic movement practitioner and birth doula aims to cultivate women’s trust in themselves and their body through support, reliable information and somatic practices which embrace the whole of who you are.
Appreciating your partner’s needs and concerns becomes part of my work during this significant time.
