"The day I bumped in to Samara serendipitously on the tube was to change the course of my birth experience. Resigned to the fact that I would have to have a cesarean for my second experience of childbirth but knowing deep down this was not what I wanted, Samara’s gentle and encouraging words showed me that there could be another way.
Throughout the course of my pregnancy Samara was a guiding light and a font of wisdom that taught me to trust myself, my inner voice, and my body.
In the face of countless doctors telling me that there was no way I could give birth naturally, which involved a lot of scaremongering, Samara showed me that I should not be afraid. She was always there to reassure me, guide me and listen to all my worries and concerns without ever passing judgement and with an immense amount of empathy.
Samara also helped me immensely with healing emotionally from my previous very traumatic birth experience, which ended in an emergency cesarean following a cascade of intervention and left me doubting my body and my ability to give birth. Samara’s support was constant and unwavering and she was always there for me.
In all my sessions with Samara during my pregnancy Samara would intuitively know what I needed, whether it was through somatic movement, visualisations or her profound teachings about birth I felt enlightened, uplifted and in control of my birth process.
The birth of my daughter was a profound and healing experience in which I felt fully supported, nurtured and cared for and which I could not have imagined without Samara.
During my labour Samara’s soothing words, massage, aromatherapy and quite simply the energy she transmitted of calmness helped me to experience a birth at home, without pain that was beyond what I could have dreamed was possible. She created a beautiful and peaceful birthing space and her presence was like having a guardian angel in the room watching over me and ensuring my baby and I would be safe.
The postnatal care I received from Samara, with soothing herbal teas, a beautiful womb blessing and helping to process my emotions after such an intense and powerful birth experience was also a very special and blessed time.
